Skincare. This is inevitably my most favorite thing to talk about. I am such a sucker for a good face mask. I have previously been asked about products I use and how to take care of your skin.
First off, I am crazy when it comes to my face routine. I use and try SEVERAL types of face washes, masks, and moisturizers. Of course, I would love to talk about them all but that would be a long list and I would and I mean literally bore you to death. We don’t want that for either of us. So, I chose two pics from a recent vacation I took to share so you can get a good look at my skin.
(These two pics don’t have filters so we are clear. In the second pic, I did my eyebrows and wore mascara. However, there was no foundation or concelar applied in either photos.) I wanted to make that clear so you can see my blemishes, redness, and other skin errors. I expect honest reviews and results from others and I know you do too. No skin is perfect, but treating it right has never been a crime either.
Lets get started.
- Oxy Pads. My mom makes fun of me every night because I have at least two of these on my face. These are my HOLY GRAIL. No matter where I go or how late I stay out I use these every night. They are made to fight acne and pimples. Man, let me tell you they fight them alright. One thing, that totally pushes people away is that this product does dry out the face. I on the otherhand don’t get bothered about that. It is something to keep in mind when you use.
Where to find: Target, Walgreens, Walmart. Under $6 at Target.
- Mario-badescu Facial Spray. I felt skeptical spending the money on this just because it was so raved about. I was so wrong. I enjoy this spray before I go to bed or when I wake up in the morning. It makes your face feel smooth and gives it a warm glow. Sometimes, I even use this spray as a makeup setter which has not failed me and I ended up being quite surprised. To me there is not really a negative to it. It hasn’t made me breakout and smells good.
Where to find: Amazon (where I got it), Ulta, Sephora. Under $7 on Amazon.
- Biore Pore Strips. Ah, okay so clogged pores especially on my nose is one of my most annoying skin errors. They get clogged and they also get very oily. Before I know it, I can have some of the worst blackheads. These strips are on the pricer side and the knock off brand strips never actually work 😥 So, then I end up spending $8 on 6 pore strips. It’s worth every penny I promise. After the use it clears my pores and actually creates more shine. (Not the bad kind.) It noticeably makes a difference and since it’s one of my trouble areas it’s worth the investment.

One thing I also can’t live without is the Lush Ocean Salt face scrub. I decided I will be doing a seperate post for that soon 🙂
I hope these give you some good tips on your own skin. Good skins doesn’t just come from drinking water ladies. Although water is benefical, so is the way you take care of your skin!!
